Revenue and Billing Analyst

The Finance team is seeking a Billing and Revenue Analyst to ensure our revenue reporting is accurate. The ideal candidate should be used to working in an environment of continuous improvement—in this role, that is defined as having a track record of consistently reducing the time to close, improving accuracy, and managing revenue in a way that enables visibility in financial reporting.

This position reports to the Controller and is a great chance to work for a fast-paced, high-growth company with a ton of room to make a difference.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage billing subscription, data, and SaaS sales (customer contracts, Order Forms, partner agreements, etc.) to ensure revenue recognition.
• Prepare monthly billing, revenue reconciliation, and analysis.
• Contribute to supporting Instabug revenue recognition process.
• Review Enterprise customer contracts, perform analysis, and help to ensure revenue is correctly recorded.
• Participate in the month-end close process by performing reconciliations and transforming the datasets used for billing file generation.
• Apply appropriate estimates and produce accurate forecasts of revenue.
• Ensure that the Revenue Team’s processes are being followed, and proactively recommend efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
• Extract, manipulate, and organize data in response to requests from the broader Finance team.
• Work actively with internal customers (Sales Representative, Customer Support, Backend team, Product Management) to provide financial performance data and enable them with insights.
• Participate in continual process improvements, maintaining up-to-date process documentation.
• Be a great team player and provide suggestions and training to other team members.
• Help with special projects, root cause analysis, and ad-hoc requests

You must have:

• A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably at a SaaS or software company.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
  • Ability to partner with and influence stakeholders in determining optimal solutions.
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once.
  • Experience in a fast-changing, fast-paced Company.
