Senior Datacenter Engineer
Job Description
Support Engineer, you will assume a leadership role within the service desk team, providing technical expertise and support to end-users while ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. Your responsibilities will encompass advanced troubleshooting, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to the continuous improvement of IT support processes:
Server Management:
Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software. Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal server operation.
Network Administration:
Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Implement and troubleshoot network protocols and services.
Security:
Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data. Monitor for security breaches and respond to incidents promptly.
Backup and Recovery:
Establish and maintain backup and recovery procedures for critical systems and data. Test and verify backups to ensure data integrity.
User Account Management:
Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights. Ensure compliance with security policies for user authentication and authorization.
Software Installation and Updates:
Install, configure, and update software applications and system utilities. Evaluate and test new software releases for compatibility.
Technical Support:
Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues. Collaborate with helpdesk and support teams for incident resolution.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Implement monitoring tools to track system performance and generate reports. Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
