Job Purpose:


We are committed to building a talented and diverse workforce at Majid Al Futtaim. The Sourcing Lead will play a crucial role in supporting TA excellence across the organization and will be responsible for the sourcing excellence of an assigned Operating Company or Business. 


This role is responsible for leading and developing a team of sourcing specialists in delivering high-caliber talent at pace to the business while building relationships with universities and external partners to build an early talent pipeline and establishing a talent intelligence capability.


Job Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Talent Intelligence:


• Ensure the sourcing function consistently updates knowledge on competitor activities, industry trends, and the overall business landscape.


• Establish a talent intelligence capability by ensuring the team effectively documents valuable information unearthed during research and is collated in a format that can be easily shared and utilized by the operating companies (OpCO).


Talent Identification:


• Utilize various sourcing techniques, including but not limited to online platforms, networking events, and referrals, to identify potential candidates for senior-level roles.


• Optimizing team workloads to ensure there is time spent building talent communities and pipelines for priority functions and capabilities across the business.


• Conduct proactive outreach to engage and attract qualified candidates, promoting the organization as an employer of choice within specific segments. (Universities)


• Screen and assess candidates based on predefined criteria to identify the best fit for the organization.


Internal Stakeholder Management


• Collaborate closely with the TA Business Partners to understand their talent requirements and align sourcing strategies accordingly.


• Provide regular updates on sourcing progress, candidate pipeline, and market insights


• Foster a collaborative and productive working relationship with TA Business Partners to ensure effective talent acquisition outcomes.


Training:


• Train, mentor, monitor, and evaluate the performance of the Sourcing Specialist, providing constructive feedback and coaching to help them improve their effectiveness in talent acquisition.


• Ensure the team is upskilling by identifying areas for improvement and implementing training programs or resources to enhance their capabilities.


• Guide in adhering to multi-channel sourcing best practices, including utilizing various platforms, tools, and techniques to attract a diverse pool of high-caliber talent.


Quality Assurance:


• Review and quality check the work of the Sourcing Specialist to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to sourcing best practices.


• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to Sourcing specialists to enhance their performance and professional growth.


Reporting and Data Management:


• Monitor sourcing metrics to measure the effectiveness of sourcing efforts and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.


• Ensure 100% usage of technology to maintain and track all sourcing activities.


• Periodic reporting and analytics to provide a comprehensive view of Sourcing metrics to leadership and TA.


Relationship Management:


• Develop and nurture strong relationships with universities and external bodies to establish a pipeline of top talent.


• Collaborate with TA Business Partners to understand talent needs and align sourcing strategies accordingly.


• Act as a brand ambassador, representing the organization positively to external partners.


Diversity and Inclusion:


• Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives within the sourcing function, ensuring that the candidate pool is diverse and representative.


Market Research:


• Stay informed about industry trends, emerging sourcing techniques, and competitor talent pools to maintain a competitive edge.


• Executes targeted search and EVP strategies to build both active and passive candidate pipelines.


Personal Characteristics and Required Background:


Skillset (job-specific technical skills and behavioral competencies needed)


-Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.


-Strong research and analytical skills, combined with good knowledge of sourcing techniques, including direct sourcing, networking, and online platforms.


-Good stakeholder management and ability to build trust and rapport.


-Superior oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills in English.


-Excellent attention to detail and strong intuition for best in class.


-Adaptable and comfortable dealing with ambiguity and change.


-Innovative and proactive with an ability to develop creative solutions.


-Must be innately curious and keen to uncover intelligence on an organization or a candidate.


-Very organized with a track record of excellence, efficiency, and delivery.


-Self-starter with the drive, motivation, and ambition to succeed.


-Team player with a collaborative approach and passion for knowledge acquisition and sharing.


-Ability to multitask, with excellent time management and ability to plan workload autonomously.          


-Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.


-Proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality talent


Minimum experience


Minimum of 8 -10 years experience with at least 3 years in a talent acquisition/recruitment-focused role.


Minimum Qualifications/education


Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
