BlackRock’s Aladdin Wealth Tech organization (AWT) is at the center of cutting-edge technologies that serve financial advisors and investors. AWT consolidates BlackRock’s varying products, including Advisor Center, Aladdin Risk for Wealth and SMA Business with marketing and sales teams -- with the goal of improving the user experience of its technology products and improving relationships with the financial advisors who use it.
Position Description
The Associate will join the development team in Mumbai. The Associate will be an integral part of the team and take responsibility for working on the Product roadmap for the Business and contribute to the milestones set for the team.
This position requires solid hands-on programming, creative problem solving, and troubleshooting skills, and an enthusiasm for learning. This role also offers the opportunity to partner with proficient software developers to continue to build both new multi-tier enterprise systems and enhance existing ones.
Designing, coding, testing, and supporting reliable, robust software applications and Backend services with high-quality standards and best industry practices.
Be a Subject matter expert for the team and provide technical solutions to the Business requirements.
Role will balance strong engineering output with strong organizational, leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn and start development using a new language or framework as per the technology stack to be used in a project.
Participating actively in multi-functional feature requirements gathering, design, and implementation.
Collaborating with Product management on the right units of work to include in each development sprint.
Performing code reviews and providing timely feedback to other engineers.
Work in a Global team environment spreading across several time zones.
Front end developer with experience in React development.
Experience with JavaScript (ES6+) and JS frameworks like React, Recoil or Typescript.
Experience in HTML, CSS, JQuery etc.
Some Experience with a JVM based language preferably Java version 8+
Understanding of typical Java-based frameworks such as Spring MVC, Spring Boot etc.
Some Experience in developing in microservices architecture and/or writing Restful APIs.
Experience with GIT for code management and CI/CD platform like Azure DevOps is a plus.
Some experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Some experience with software containerization platforms like Docker/Kubernetes.
Proficiency building and passionate about creating great products that solve big problems.
Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, and time management abilities.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to self-study and learn new concepts with minimal mentorship, should be self-driven.
BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong object-oriented programming knowledge along with good understanding of algorithms, data structures and design patterns.
Ability to work in a global team-environment.
Financial domain background is a plus.

Our hybrid work model
