Job Description

Join the Selling Partner Satisfaction team as an Automation Engineer. We aim to build an environment where Selling Partners can sell with Amazon hassle free. We are looking for someone who can drive automation initiatives within our program. Actively look out for opportunities to automate / eliminate the process. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with internal / external stakeholders within Amazon and pave way for a frustration free experience.
Key job responsibilities
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business processes that can benefit from automation.
• Experience in developing automation scripts for various tasks, such as data manipulation, file processing, web scraping, Data retrieval using APIs / Databases leveraging Python and JavaScript.
• Experience with SQL and NOSQL databases with intermediate SQL knowledge.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to acquire data from various sources, including websites, APIs, and databases. Process and clean data using Python, Beautiful Soup, Pandas / Polars , and Selenium.
• Knowledge of version control systems, such as Git.
• Familiarity with Unix-based operating system kernels and development environments, e.g. Linux .
• Good understanding on development of UI with HTML , JavaScript and CSS. React JS is preferable.
• Experience in AWS services like S3,RDS,Redshift,Lambda and EC2
A day in the life
An automation engineer will work hand in hand with Subject matter experts and Program managers within SPSAT program to identify top Selling partner pain points and create self service opportunities. The role will also work to automate communication to Selling partner in wide scale and ensure the process is automated end to end.
About the team
Our vision is to create a hassle free environment for Selling partners. We empower selling partners to be self sufficient in conducting business with Amazon. We are implementing this vision thru eliminating the need for Selling partner to contact Amazon , educating / nudging Selling partners to fix their errors and improve internal Amazon teams speed and quality of support.
We are flag bearers of Selling Partner experience along the Selling partner journey (onboarding , listing , ordering , delivery , payments and chargebacks) within RBS and we expect others to meet the bar we establish.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Chennai, TN, IND
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of complex Excel VBA macros writing experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with SQL or ETL
- 3+ years of Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) experience
- Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby)
- Experience writing complex Excel VBA macros
- AWS skills - RDS / Lambda / EC2 / IAM
- Experience using very large datasets
- Experience using statistical tools such as Minitab
- Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
- AWS cloud certified with 2+ cloud experience
