Business Analyst-Assistant Manager-State Street Global Adviosors

Job description:

This role will be part IT team at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), working in our Development team to support Developers with Requirements gathering and Testing.

Key responsibilities:

• Gathering business requirements via interaction with end users and other teams.
• Analyzing requirements and breaking them down into actionable functional specifications to be used by Development teams
• Converting business requirements into test cases
• Coordination across technical teams and oversee the development process
• Conducting IT testing and user testing activities
• Project planning and communication to the stakeholders
• Bug fix verification and validation.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree is a requirement; Computer Science or Information Technology preferred.
• Good understanding of Investment Management, Asset Management business.
• 8+ years of experience in  technology and/or data functions in financial services or consulting industry.
• Hands on experience working in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Build comprehensive reporting to summarize status of business deliverables from JIRA.
• Test-driven or Agile development methodologies
• Expertise in all aspects of Requirement Gathering, Data Analysis, and Gap Analysis.
• Should be able to work independently and lead a team of business analysts
• Produce Analysis and functional specification documents (BSD/FSD)
• Produce Test Plans and Scenarios
• Excellent Documentation Skills
• Experience in driving large transformation/implementation project as a lead BA
• Liaise between IT and Business and drive discussions among cross functional teams
• Assuming ownership of problems and driving towards their resolution
• Functional/Acceptance Testing of own & others applications
• Scoping of work streams and estimation of proposed work
• Effectively manage day-to-day tasks / activities in coordination with a team of developers to effectively meet the deliverables
• Exposure in systematic understanding of Fund Accounting would be an advantage.
