Job Description CrossBoundary Group is looking for a creative and proactive Communications Coordinator who will help develop, implement, and track our global communications projects and strategies. As CrossBoundary Group’s Communications Coordinator, you will be responsible for drafting and editing materials and communications copy; collecting data and maintaining databases; and coordinating with teams on marketing and networking events. The ideal candidate will be able to work cross-functionally and distill the CrossBoundary Group businesses and platforms’ value propositions into compelling communications collateral, such as blogs and social media posts. The Communications Coordinator will ensure that all promotional and marketing materials meet CrossBoundary Group’s brand identity. The Communications Coordinator will be a member of CrossBoundary Group’s Communications team and report to the Global Head of Communications in Nairobi, Kenya. The Communications Coordinator will work closely with CrossBoundary Group’s globally distributed teams. Required Qualifications
1-2+ years’ experience in a communications or content-related role
Degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
Experience developing digital and social media content
Basic graphic design capabilities in either Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud
Intuitive writer – writing clearly, concisely, and persuasively is effortless for you
Ability to perform a content gap analysis and execute a content plan independently
Strong researcher with an ability to grasp new concepts quickly
Strong relationship-building skills and ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Independent worker who thrives in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency tracking analytics on new and social media platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Google Analytics and AdWords, etc.)
Strong organizational skills
Knowledge of how to pitch journalists and editors is a plus
Experience using marketing automation software is a plus
Primary Responsibilities
Synthesize messaging and expertise from CrossBoundary teams into accurate and compelling content
Create engaging storytelling and multimedia experiences by producing blog articles, web pages, social media, video and podcast scripts, printed/promotional material, and more
Produce graphics for digital and printed materials, including banners, invitations, and social media posts highlighting recruitment and new hires
Manage and schedule a pipeline of content for social media and online platforms within a shared content calendar
Produce monthly and quarterly analytics reports
Track and maintain databases of content and earned media, as well as a repository of thought leadership across targeted topics
Update, edit, and post new web content, including keeping CrossBoundary’s team and recruiting pages current
Conceptualize and launch new website features as needed
Develop templates and guidelines for internal and external communication products in line with CrossBoundary’s brand
Develop a deep understanding of CrossBoundary’s corporate brand and messaging
Track and contribute results to department reporting and OKRs
