Design Manager

Job Description:

Pattern thrives on a highly collaborative relationship with our partners, and this role is critical in developing and defining the right solutions to our client's objectives. Under your principal guidance, you and your team will deliver powerful and memorable solutions that grow both Pattern's creative reputation as well as give the client a unique edge in their industry. This position will be a crucial leading force in our creative services, client relationships, expansion, and culture at our Pune, India headquarters.Core creative responsibilities and capabilities:

• Lead development of the creative vision and strategy for each project
• Promote and protect creative integrity throughout the process
• Provide constructive critique to the design team to identify and refine the most compelling and concept-driven solutions
• Maintain beautiful aesthetics and expertise in color, layout, typography, illustration, and photography in all creative deliverables
•  Demonstrate a current understanding of emerging design trends and ability to expand on those insights,
• Leadership and Management:   Develop and grow a team of graphic designers, creative project managers, & copywriters. Ensure smooth onboarding onto 

        essential collaboration tools like Slack, email, Adobe, etc.

• Participate in leadership team meetings to identify areas of opportunities for office-wide initiatives
•  Provide guidance for new project estimating, scoping and schedule development
• Partner with Account Management to determine resource allocation and hiring plans
• A proactive attitude and team-oriented approach to client projects and studio culture.
• Manage the branding and visual design department to ensure successful performance.
• Supervise and mentor less-senior creative staff, including art direction, performance reviews and professional development plans.
• Identify and execute on continual process improvements for internal strategy and visual design teams. 
• Organize and oversee regular team activities, fostering a strong sense of unity among the team members. Coordinate activities from hotel stays to meals and tours with other creative teams visit
•   Primary liaison between India creative team and US Creative and Project Manager teams, addressing challenges, aligning expectations, etc.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with direct supervision and mentorship for juniors
•  Mastery of industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite as well as other platforms such as Microsoft Office,  Slack, Google, etc.
•    Excellent presentation skills.
•    Effective time and resource management
