MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)
Responsible for delivering interfaces between SAP and Non-SAP systems that combine business processes with software SAP development tools.
The complexity of interfaces may vary, however they need to scale and be highly reliable for complex enterprise system environments.
The Sr. CPI Developer understands overall SAP enterprise system landscape and can perceive functional requirements between SAP components within the core ERP solution being deployed as well as integrate to external applications in the enterprise environment.
He/she is involved in all phases of the life cycle implementation, including blueprinting, mapping, prototype, design, configuration, testing, go-live, user training and post
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certificates.
Minimum 8 to 10 years of extensive SAP PI/PO development experience including 3 to 5 years on SAP CPI.
Team player, experienced in an agile development environment
Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate with business analysts/system analysts.
Able to comprehend business needs and concerns and integrate that understanding into design and implementation.
Proven experience in managing SAP PI/PO implementations (At least 2 full project lifecycle SAP implementations)
SAP Certification on CPI is an added advantage
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)
Technically expertise in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) - Should have worked on SAP CPI to integrate with SAP Cloud & non-SAP systems
Proven skills in SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and required at least 2 SAP CPI end to end project life cycle implementations.
Must expertise on JAVA, Java Script/ Groovy Script and XSLT.
Experience with Custom Adapter developments in SAP Cloud Platform.
SAP Cloud platform Integration Knowledge on ODATA Webservice, API interface development and API Management.
Experience in CPI administration involving monitoring, troubleshooting, reprocessing and transport of objects across systems
Good understanding on standard APIs exposed by SAP Cloud systems and able to customize and modularizing SAP CPI iFlows.
Knowledge on B2B/EDI integration in CPI.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs
