The Adobe Photoshop Desktop team is in search of a dedicated, enthusiastic and highly skilled Engineering Leader with a positive outlook. As an integral member of our core engineering team, you will take charge of shaping Desktop features to life from start to finish. You'll thrive in our dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative environment, collaborating closely with Engineering leaders, developers, quality engineers, designers, and product managers. Your role as an Engineering Manager is pivotal in delivering an exceptional user experience and we expect nothing less than excellence in your work. What you'll do:

• Mentor and guide high performing engineering team
• Be an inspiring leader in building innovative features/experience for new users and C-Pros for Photoshop Desktop
• Partner with Product, Design and Engineering leaders across geographical boundaries to deliver the "Adobe magic”
• Drive strategic and tactical decisions which ensures the successful delivery of projects
• Lead the technical design, vision, and implementation strategy
• Create execution plan and lead the engineering team to execute on the vision
• Apply best-practices and coding patterns that ensure solutions are maintainable, modular and of high code quality
• Develop and evolve engineering processes and teamwork models, applying creative problem solving to optimise team efficiency
• Attract, hire, on-board and retain top talent. Motivate and develop the team as a player-coach to be a high-performance team
• Craft a positive winning culture built on collaboration and shared accomplishments
• Pioneer and develop innovative functionalities within the digital imaging field

Who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science.
• 8-12 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g. C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 2 years of experience in engineering and technical leadership with people management.
• Strong technical skills with experience in designing & developing enterprise applications
• Strong working knowledge of software development methodologies and software design patterns and have experience leading significant software projects/products
• Proven experience running or leading sophisticated projects through full product delivery cycles
• Proven track record developing, leading, coaching, and mentoring software engineers and engineering managers towards delivering timely, high-quality software as a team
• Ambitious and not afraid to tackle unknowns, demonstrate a strong bias to action
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Proven track record in recruiting and building robust teams
• Self-motivated with a desire to mentor a team and the ability to drive the team to accomplish high-quality deliverables
• Excellent speaking, writing and presentation skills, as well as the ability to persuade, encourage, and empower others
• Experience working with UI Design based software, Desktop Software , C++ preferred
