Legal Operations (Legal Ops) provides services to other Legal functions that improve their day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness, facilitate change and control costs. The Legal Knowledge Specialist role is part of the Learning & Knowledge Management team within Legal Ops.
Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity to support and develop Knowledge Management activities within Legal. The Legal Knowledge Specialist will support the implementation of Accenture Legal’s Knowledge Management (KM) Strategy. They will proactively support the Global Legal Knowledge Manager in curating and managing legal knowledge content, and work with the global Legal teams supporting activities to ensure content collection, content quality, and knowledge management adoption and awareness.
Key Responsibilities
Legal content management:
- Supporting knowledge-sharing and curation across Legal teams
- Applying consistent governance and content review processes to ensure content quality
- Working with document owners and knowledge curators to support them in managing guidance documents, templates and training materials
- Working with knowledge curators to identify knowledge gaps, and address accessibility and usability issues
- Offering on-going support and assistance to the Legal audience
Working as part of a global team to build relationships with key user groups and anticipate evolving Knowledge requirements:
- Working with the Legal Knowledge Manager and knowledge curators to help identify potential issues and areas for improvement; to scope pragmatic solutions; and to disseminate lessons learned and best practices
Supporting the Global Knowledge Manager to develop and implement knowledge awareness and adoption programs for Legal knowledge resources:
- Supporting the development and implementation of knowledge training programs
- Developing and implementing communication plan around knowledge-sharing opportunities and developments
- Actively engaging with Legal teams and influencing them to collaborate and contribute towards knowledge initiatives
- Supporting targeted knowledge forums, events and networking activities
Supporting Legal’s Knowledge strategic agenda:
- Working in close collaboration with the Legal Knowledge Manager and the Legal Technology team to develop enhanced solutions for KM
- Supporting the implementation of Knowledge strategic priorities, policies, standards and guidelines
- Helping to monitor and measure KM effectiveness and quality
Managing Legal External Resources:
- Supporting access and use of third-party legal research resources
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Undergraduate degree required
- Strong demonstrated interest and literacy in IT
- Familiarity and experience with Knowledge Management tools, technologies and processes
- Knowledge of legal research tools, or other online research tools preferred
- SharePoint experience is highly desirable
