About the department


The Commercial Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas including Insulin, Market Access, Commercial Planning and Commercial Operations. The Commercial GBS unit also supports global marketing for Haemophilia and growth disorders. In Obesity Therapy Area, we are focused on changing the way obesity is viewed and treated today, as well as increasing number of people who receive innovative treatments and quality care.  In addition to driving innovative market development and communication efforts, the Commercial Global Business services (GBS) unit is responsible for the global commercialization and optimization of Saxenda® and Obesity & NASH pipelines.


The Position


This job is in Bangalore, India. International travel will be required for 5-10 days a year. You will join the global marketing team, driving strategic brand responsibilities. These responsibilities include:


  • Drive specific tasks from the overall Go to Market global strategy. Create new promotional materials to support the global strategy and ensure timely distribution of them to the regions and affiliates.
  • Update existing core story to reflect the Chronic Kidney Disease & Primary Care Physician strategy and future expansion into new specialities.
  • Support preparation of training materials for the new promotional tactics aligned with international operations. Support in better practice sharing amongst affiliates.
  • Certification and recertification of promotional material based on already approved core stories. Update core story to reflect the strategic priorities.
  • Support Market Research to capture insights that can help optimise various brand tracks.

Qualifications


  • Graduate degree in Pharma (B. Pharm), Science/Biotechnology (BSc), medical sciences.
  • Master’s Degree (preferably within Marketing) from a well-recognized institute.
  • 6+ years of overall experience preferably in the Pharmaceutical /Marketing/Medical Affairs/ Sales/Brand Management/Project Management, with at least 5+ years of experience in Product/brand marketing/management.
  • Experience within chronic disease therapy area is preferred.
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities, with demonstrated experience in analysing complex data-sets, collecting data, effectively synthesizing the analytics/data to form a complete, cohesive picture.
  • Experience in brand strategy & tactical plan development and implementation.
  • Cycle material development and their application to maximise brand performance.
  • Strong collaboration with brand teams, affiliate teams and other internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex topics into simple and efficient communications and develop storylines for presentations etc. 
  • Technical skills: MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word is a must.
