Job Details:Job Description: Defines, develops, and performs functional validation for GPUs, focusing on validation of interaction of GPUs, media, display and systemlevel features. Applies various hardware and software level tools and techniques to ensure validation coverage and that performance, power, and area goals are met. Reviews proposed design changes to assess impact on validation plans, tasks, and timelines. Develops GPU validation methodologies, executes validation plans, and collaborates with other engineers for design optimization, troubleshooting, and failure analysis. Performs silicon debug to identify root causes and resolves all functional and triage failures for GPU issues. Tests interactions between various GPU features using validation infrastructure. Develops postsilicon validation infrastructure (e.g., performance monitors, behavioral checkers, state space coverage) and test environment used in validation testing. Publishes GPU validation reports summarizing all validation activities performed, reviews results, and communicates to relevant teams. Works with architecture, design, verification, board, platform, and manufacturing teams to maintain and improve debug, validation test strategy, methodologies, and processes for graphics interfaces and to meet desired product specifications.Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or computer science or related field with 12+ years of experience or Master's with 8+ years of experience.


Your experience should be in the following areas:


  • Familiarity with SoC/IP level architecture/design, Relevant experience in SOC Post silicon validation.
  • Proven expertise in Silicon product development.
  • Experience in creating Validation environments from scratch for validation of SoC/System level test execution.
  • Experience with Validation of various type of external interfaces, like DDR, HBM, PCIe or similar.
  • Experience with Post Silicon Debug /Validation and/or Emulation.
  • Familiarity with Driver and firmware flows.
  • Design validation on System level functionality (power management, memory, PCIe)Working knowledge of standard post-Si debug and regression tools/methodologies.
  • Also any emulation tools. DFX methodologies and tools usage.
  • Experience in Graphics Hardware-Software interfacing and debug would be plusKnowledge of Software programming.
  • Good programming skills in C/C++ and scripting (such as Python SV or Ruby)
  • Exposure to OpenCL, Open Vino, ML libraries, DNN.
  • Graphics and Compute Workload analysis for HPC/AI/ML/Media analytics segments.

Preferred skills and experiences that will make you stand out: -


  • Demonstrated Experience on External Graphics SoCs(PCIE based)Good understanding of Display graphics driver / Media / 3D /Audio would be added advantage.
  • Post silicon Validation Experience on SRIOV, Virtualization/Hypervisor.
  • Experience and hands on skills with LTB, ITP, Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Scan dumps, and in-circuit Emulators.
  • Expertise in validating complex IP's from different sources onto the same piece of silicon.
  • Experienced with IP/SoC firmware architecture.
  • Experience with IP/SoC Debug subsystem development.
  • Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.

Work Model for this Role


This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
