Job Description

Amazon’s Business Mobility Services (BMS) team continues to elevate its best-in-class professional services, delivering exceptional immigration support to Amazon businesses, employees, and candidates globally. Comprising of project managers, analysts, and seasoned immigration subject matter experts, the team actively serves as strategic partners and consultants to Amazon business leaders and partner teams. Currently, the team centrally manages immigration filings and associated vendors for Amazon, concurrently driving projects aimed at ongoing improvement in the cost, quality, and compliance of immigration services at Amazon.
We are seeking an Immigration Assistant, to support the needs of our growing India immigration Hub team based in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing high volumes of H-1B/L1 visa (or) Europe visa transactions (UK & Germany) in accordance with SOPs. Your duties include gathering and assessing candidates' professional backgrounds to determine visa eligibility, organizing and maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring compliance with immigration regulations. You will communicate visa application statuses to candidates while upholding privacy regulations. Additionally, you'll take ownership of administrative tasks and collaborate globally to enhance processes. Prompt escalation of issues to Immigration Specialists or managers is a key aspect of this position
Key job responsibilities
• Efficiently handle high volumes of US Visa (H1 and L1) transactions (or) UK & Germany transactions in strict alignment with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Gather necessary information to understand candidates'/employees' professional background and immigration needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments of qualifications and eligibility for H-1B/L1 visa (or) UK/DE visa candidates/employees.
• Manage and organize all documentation related to H-1B/L1 visa (or) UK/DE visa applications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with immigration regulations.
• Maintain effective and timely case process communications with candidates/employees, providing updates on their visa application status.
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality regulations in maintaining records.
• Update the case management system in a timely and accurate manner.
• Own processes and administrative tasks related to defined operational work.
• Validate, test, and recommend edits to immigration standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Partner with global team members to build and improve upon common processes.
• Gain an understanding of immigration globally, in addition to existing country or region-specific expertise.
• Escalate issues to Immigration Specialists or managers on timely manner.
We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Bangalore, KA, IND
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of experience in US immigration (or) Europe immigration programs (UK & DE).
- Good written and verbal communication skills; high quality document and report preparation.
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information and adherence to strict confidentiality standards.
- 1+ years of human resources experience
- 1+ years of customer service experience
- 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
