What you will be doing

• Design, implement, and maintain database systems and structures.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization.
• Ensure data integrity and security in all database environments.
• Monitor database systems to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner.
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines.
• Review existing application DB PL/SQL and Stored procedures to recommend any improvement. Review and guide the rest of the development team to improve solutions.
• Execution of integration test and validation of test results, extending product support for Production and UAT.
• Nice to have - Installs/Configure and Maintains SQL Server(2016,2017, 2019) and manages older version of SQL Server(2012, 2014).

What you bring

• 6+ years of strong experienceof SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server)
• Good knowledge on SQL Server Architecture.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL programming language and stored procedures.
• Experience in database model design and development.
• Experience with database design principles and best practices.
• Familiarity with performance tuning techniques to optimize database performance.
• Ability to vaticinate potential issues or bottlenecks in the database environment.
• Knowledge of high availability strategies for database systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Working experience preferably in the financial services industry. Knowledge of end-to-end systems, development life cycles, i.e., Waterfall, Iterative, Agile and other modern approaches to software development. Experience of using project management tools like JIRA and Confluence etc
• Proficiency in solutions design and requirements definition disciplines leveraging model driven design-based tools and techniques including conceptual solution component models, business process models, use cases, etc.
• Knowledege on Standalone, Failover Clustering and Always on environments.
