About the team
Team develops, maintains transfer agency system, and support business to complete daily business activities. As a developer you will be working with Project Manager and other developers through the software development life cycle. You will be designing, coding, unit testing complex financial applications used in Capital Markets.
What you will be doing
Developing software application modules and components. Create analysis, Impact analysis, Prepare design document. Follows development standards. Should perform and participate in testing including: identifying test data and test cases; executing and documenting test results; diagnosis, troubleshooting and remediation of test defects
- Perform application coding and programming through utilizing best practices and thorough knowledge of the system.
- Analyze requirements and propose high level solutions
- Create low level design documents, artifacts for applications, modules.
- Perform unit testing, document test cases and results.
- Utilize version control software and configuration tools.
- Plan and coordinate implementation activities
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Participate in source code reviews.
- Create effort estimates based on business requirements.
- Continuously develop one’s own application / business domain knowledge and apply as appropriately in support of the application.
- Identify impact to an application due to a project / enhancement.
- Learn standard technology tools, programming languages and frameworks and apply as appropriately.
- Provide production support. Address the tickets. Troubleshoot and resolve common production issues.
- Participate in cutover and implementation activates.
What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 5 to 10 years of Experience
- Proficient knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400 or AS400) and programming languages (COBOL/400, CL/400, CLLE, ILE, RPG)
- Strong database concepts (DB2/400) and familiarity with tools for database manipulation (SQL)
- Proficiency in MS office tools
- Experience delivering projects using a standard Project Life Cycle Methodology (waterfall / Agile)
- Proactive, result driven approach and be able to work with team members.
TECHNICAL:
- IBM iSeries (AS/400 or AS400)
- Operating system OS/400
- COBOL/400, CL/400, CLLE, ILE and RPG

- Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.

- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
- Willing to work in Flexible schedule, ready to work in shifts.
- Must be able to perform under pressure.
- Must learn and maintain knowledge of software components as necessary to support application builds and deployments and maintaining production environments.
