The Lead NPD Project Manager works independently on the projects and determines the technical solutions to meet the needs. The final designs are validated through design reviews in collaboration with the technical experts (Controlled Title Holder – CTH) and the members of the project team (product manager, R&D manager, purchasing manager, etc...). We works in relationships with many of the company's department in order to take as far as possible into account the needs of these services and ensure the success of the new product.


As a Lead NPD Project Manager, you will be responsible for


  • Analyzing and validate needs with product managers and understand the requirements for the new product to be developed.
  • Evaluating the needs (material, resources, prototype, etc.) required to carry out the project
  • Analyzing and measure risks that may occur during completion.
  • Establishing project structures and operating rules (methods, piloting tools, etc.).
  • Establishing project execution planning in collaboration with all project stakeholders (engineering, purchasing, methods, Configuration management, etc...)
  • Managing the project in accordance with the processes and procedures
  • Ensuring that projects are carried out in time, cost and in compliance with the initial requirements validated with the product managers.
  • Managing the local NPD engineers team.
  • Pilot and coordinate matrix execution teams from Engineering, Production, Procurement/Supply, Management configuration, ValvStream.
  • Conducting regular reviews with internal interlocutors to monitor performance during implementation, with associated indicators and implement corrective actions, if necessary.
  • Be the preferred contact of the Product Manager (USA) and communicate (reporting) the progress of the project towards the business leaders (USA)
  • Using feedback and good practices to promote continuous improvement within the NPD Group

To be successful in this role you will:


  • Have a Bachelors Degree or Masters in Mechanical from an accredited University or College
  • strong experience of 8-12 years in Mechanical stream
  • Have strong experience in Project Management ( NPD experience preferred)
  • Responsible for driving Valve for NPD (New Product Development)
  • PMP certification will be a plus
  • MS office suite, ERP (SAP Ideally) and planning tools (MS Project) knowledge
  • Have a good team spirit
  • Interest for innovation and technology
