Manager, Software Engineering

As a Manager, Software Engineering in the Financials division, you will lead a team of engineers and partner with other teams to develop and deliver a customized workflow platform solution for our customers. This platform will be leveraged by teams across Procore to allow our customers to run highly customizable business processes inside the Procore application. You’ll partner with product managers, designers, architects, and engineers to define your team's vision and execute your roadmap. Use your collaboration skills, mastery of engineering management, and technical expertise to build impactful teams and foundational software in order for Procore to be ready on an enterprise and global scale.

This position will report to our VP of Engineering, Financials. The position will be located in Pune, India. We’re looking for candidates to join our team immediately!

What you’ll do:

• Focus on the development of our Workflows platform service for Procore.
• Drive innovation and change to accommodate enterprise and international customers for Procore across the organization
• Work cross-functionally with product and UX to build roadmaps and execution plans
• Own the overall success of business domains managing the improvement of functionality, APIs, SDK's, and performance
• Collaborate with leadership to set short term and long term goals and strategies
• Contribute to architecture design
• Mentor and coach your teams and the broader organization
• Drive excellence and product quality in key areas of the Procore in our Financials division
• Identify opportunities and manage teams to successfully deliver our initiatives

What we're looking for:

• 8+ years total experience as a Software Engineer
• 3+ years experience managing teams of varying sizes and timezones
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science, related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Experience in leading highly effective engineering teams
• Ability to coach, provide mentorship and guidance that aids team growth and development
• Track record of shipping value to customers with high quality
• Ability to lead large initiatives and evaluate current technical and organizational approaches
• Proficient in software development process, e.g., agile processes, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing
• Passionate about technology, tooling, industry trends, and best practices
• Experience with Java, Javascript/Typescript, Ruby a plus
• Open to shift working hours to accommodate for time zone differences
