What you need to know about the role -
This role is part of consumer brands, where we get opportunity to transform and model consumer brands to fit into an enterprise model for easier analytical integrations. You should have the following for the role:
• Data engineering background.
• Experience in Programming – Java Preferrable / Python
• Experience in Cloud
• Experience in Hadoop system esp Spark

We are part of DAIS - EDL. Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) is centralized platform system for all data analytics teams to get the data of all PayPal Inc companies.

Job Description:

Your way to impact -

• You are great at the designing aspect
• You are proficient in Big Data - Hadoop ecosystem is nice to have.

Your day to day -

• Lead the team across Consumer brands.
• Build data pipelines for ingestions of SOR raw.
• Model the data.
• Transformation jobs.
• Build and integrate new brands.

What do you need to bring -

• Good understanding of Data Modelling Concepts.
• Dealt with both structured and unstructured data sets & hence uses different methods to data architecture and applications in building data pipeline. 
• ETL Development including various big data technologies, open-source data ingestion and processing frameworks.
• Good understanding of data processing, data structure optimization and design for scalability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
