Job Description

Job purpose PHINIA is currently seeking a highly specialized Teamcenter Architect / Configuration Expert. This role demands advanced technical expertise in Siemens Teamcenter, focusing on the customization, configuration, and optimization of PLM systems for automotive product development and lifecycle management. The candidate will be pivotal in architecting, developing, and managing intricate Teamcenter solutions to support our cutting-edge automotive manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities


  • Architect, configure, and deploy Siemens Teamcenter environments tailored to complex automotive product development needs.
  • Develop and enforce best practices and standards for Siemens Teamcenter configuration, ensuring optimal performance and scalability in the automotive industry.
  • Implement advanced customizations in Siemens Teamcenter to align with specific automotive engineering and manufacturing requirements.
  • Lead the integration of Siemens Teamcenter with other enterprise systems, including CAD, ERP, and MRP, to create a cohesive PLM ecosystem.
  • Analyze and refine system architecture to enhance functionality, efficiency, and reliability of the Siemens Teamcenter environment.
  • Directly manage advanced aspects of data modeling, workflow design, access control, and user interface customization in Siemens Teamcenter.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in the Siemens Teamcenter environment, ensuring minimal disruption to automotive product development processes.
  • Monitor and evaluate emerging PLM technologies and Teamcenter updates, recommending and implementing upgrades as necessary.
  • Define and execute Siemens Teamcenter data migration and system consolidation strategies for automotive applications.
  • Oversee Teamcenter system performance, conducting regular audits and implementing improvements for enhanced efficiency and stability.

What we’re looking for


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Extensive experience as a Teamcenter Architect / Configuration Expert, particularly within the automotive industry.
  • Deep technical expertise in Siemens Teamcenter architecture, configuration, customization, and system integration.
  • Proficient in advanced Teamcenter modules such as Structure Manager, Workflow Designer, Access Manager, and BMIDE.
  • Strong experience with programming languages and scripting for Teamcenter customization, including ITK, RAC, and SOA.
  • In-depth knowledge of data migration, version upgrades, and system consolidation within Siemens Teamcenter environments.
  • Expertise in automotive industry standards and compliance related to PLM systems.
  • Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and coordinate with various technical teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills in complex PLM environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a high-paced automotive setting.
  • Familiarity with related PLM and CAD tools (e.g., NX, SolidWorks…) and their integration with Siemens Teamcenter is beneficial.
