Post/ Job Title Post - Doctoral Fellow Job Purpose Provide research support to ongoing research at IIMB on National Highway Authority of India – initiatives on translate the findings from a large transportation research project into final reports, case studies, and research papers. The position would involve both fieldwork and desk research.
Job Type & Duration Will be hired under Project Code for a period of one year. Reporting to Chief Operating Officer - SCMC
Will also closely work with Internal: Faculty Members, Field Research Assistants, Interested members of NHAI group
External: Survey Agency, Govt Agencies, Secondary Data Providers

Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities - Draft a comprehensive final report summarizing the research project, methodology, findings, and recommendations.
- Develop engaging case studies highlighting specific aspects of the research project and their real-world applications.
- Prepare research papers for submission to academic journals, tailoring content for a scholarly audience.
- Contribute to the dissemination of research findings through presentations, workshops, and publications.
- Support the writing and editing of project deliverables, including reports, articles, and presentations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualification and Personal Profile - Candidate must have obtained a Ph.D. degree in Economics or Public Policy or Management or Supply Chain.
- Candidates should have at least 1 years’ experience in research is required.
Other Skill and Ability Requirements - Writing skills: Expertise in technical writing, translating complex information into clear and concise language for diverse audiences. Ability to tailor writing style for different deliverables (reports, case studies, research papers). or public policy of infrastructure projects.
- Communication skills: They require excellent written as well as verbal communication skills for effective presentation of both technical and non-technical information.
- Quantitative skills: It is essential that applicant is highly numerate with strong qualitative and quantitative analysis skills. The candidate must be comfortable with and capable of synthesizing large data sets into actionable insights.
- Positive attitude, a detailed orientation and ability to interact with the senior leadership.
