Principal DevOps Virtualization Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage virtualization solutions in AWS Cloud, utilizing services like EC2, VPC, and Lambda.
• Oversee the configuration and administration of VMware vSphere infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Design and manage automated VMware vSphere infrastructures.
• Implement best practices for resource utilization and performance tuning in both AWS and datacenter container & virtualization environments.
• Collaborate with other teams to assess and recommend improvements for overall infrastructure efficiency.
• Develop and enforce security measures for virtualized environments, aligning with industry best practices and compliance standards.
• Conduct regular security audits and implement corrective measures as needed.
• Utilize automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to streamline virtualization tasks and workflows. Champion automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for virtualization related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on business operations.
• Provide expert-level support for incidents and work closely with technical support teams.
• Design, Develop and Maintain the Citrix App layer, ensuring optimal performance and seamless user experience.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field.
• Minimum 10 plus years of experience working as Senior Virtualization Specialist to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of virtualization solutions across AWS Cloud and VMware environments or Citrix App layer expert.
• Proficiency in AWS native skills and commercial virtualization software (like VMware).
• Must have hands on knowledge to work with AWS RDS services.
• Strong automation skills preferably using Ansible, Python, PowerCLI, as well as AWS CloudFormation, CDK.
• Extensive experience in configuring and managing networks on AWS cloud as well as VMware infrastructure.
• Experience with data security – HashiCorp Vault / AWS security KMS, PKI infrastructure.
• Hands on experience in packaging apps using Citrix App layering
• Certifications – AWS  certified DevOps engineer.
• Experienced as a Cloud DevOps engineer with IT infra as code (IaC), configuration management, CICD tools.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
