Project Controller - III

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories provides complete power system protection, control, monitoring, automation, security and integration for utilities and industries worldwide. We are looking for Project Controller III to provide technical support to customers. A successful candidate must have knowledge and experience for transmission and distribution systems, knowledge on power system protection, relay testing and commissioning, knowledge on procedures of power system protection, settings, and testing and related SEL products. As a PC III, a typical day might include the following: 

• Audit the planning, tracking, analysis, and reporting of projects against stated process.

  
  

• Lead the planning and coordination of activities on multiple projects, with project team, customers and subcontractors.

  
  

• Track project cost, schedule, deliverables, quality and performance objectives and provide timely reports on progress to management.

  
  

• Assist with environmental, health and safety planning, maintaining a safe workplace, safety awareness and training, accident investigations and reporting, and implementing safe and environmentally sound work practices.

  
  

• Ensure project procedure compliance and document control.

  
  

• Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

  
  

• Understand. Create. Simplify.

  
  

• Other duties as assigned.

  
  

• Associate's degree or equivalent work experience in related field

  
  

• 10+ years of experience supporting project work

  
  

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS Project

  
  

• Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize

  
  

• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills

  
  

• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

  
  

• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
