Required skill set:

Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures. Knowledge in Cement Industry Products such as Kiln, Cooler, Preheater, Mills etc. especially on heavy engineering with sourcing knowledge of Domestic /European supplier. Should be proactive, dynamic, and determined. Good Estimation & Negotiation skills. Sound Knowledge in commercial terms & conditions. Your responsibilities

• Examine and analyze departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information.
• Send RFQ to project approved vendors and ensures timely receipt of offers.
• Validating Supplier quotes in line with Purchase Requisition/Requirement
• Coordinates with engineering department for any technical clarifications
• Collaborate with Category managers and PMPs to get best from the suppliers.
• Effective negotiation, finalization, and cost optimization.
• Vendor selection and order placement.
• Prepare estimation and Bid evaluation sheet.
• Prepare Purchase order in ERP system (Oracle) and send approved POs to suppliers.
• Expedite and get order acknowledgement from supplier.
• Ensure the right part delivery from vendor.
• Process vendor invoices and follows up till payment is made, and retention is paid / bank guarantee expires.
• Effective handling of customer complaints after dispatch, installation etc.

What you bring

• Commercial and technical knowledge in offer evaluations.
• Effective negotiation, finalization, and cost optimization
• Should be capable of building a relationship with Sales, Engineering, Expediting and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of Cement equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of any ERP knowledge is a must, the experience in Oracle ERP system will be an advantage.
• Competency with Microsoft Office suiter.

Education Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a reputed University.

Experience

5 to 8 years of experience in procurement.
