Senior Accountant, Revenue

The opportunity

Unity’s Accounting team is looking to hire a Senior Accountant that will be an integral part of our accounting team. This role will have an immediate impact on our month-end close process as well as strengthening our overall reconciliation process. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with a strong attention to detail and able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is a hybrid position based in our Bangalore office. General working hours for this role will be 2pm-11pm IST during the weekdays.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliation schedules to support monthly close package
• Research, evaluate and document the accounting treatment for non-standard revenue transactions under US GAAP
• Partner with cross-functional teams to make Unity’s close procedures more accurate and efficient
• Assist with monthly reporting and flux analysis
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements/footnotes and SEC supporting deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
• Develop and implement process improvements, work on automation initiatives, and document standard operating procedures
• Support external / internal audit requirements related to specific areas of responsibility
• Support management by completing special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests, and other tasks

What you're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Chartered Accountant, or equivalent certification required
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, Revenue from Contract with Customers
• Strong team player that is willing to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Superb communication skills, both written and oral
• Knowledge of excel at an intermediate level

• Experience with BI Systems, Salesforce, Zuora Revenue, Workday Financials and/or NetSuite
