The Role and Purpose

This is a Senior Developer role based out of the India (Bangalore) and is responsible for delivering technology and process simplification initiatives running in a large multi skilled enterprise technology function (Process Simplification and Optimisation) that will look after all business orchestration and automation technology platforms that are consumed by our business and technology teams.

This role & function forms a core part of our digitisation strategy allowing us to deliver great timely services to our customers and increasing our efficiency / scalability through use of great technology, tooling, and process practices

Focus is on bringing all the Enterprise Orchestration & Automation tools under one function moving from the various silo teams that exist across the enterprise today (facilitating consistent engagement model, standardisation of available services, simplification of our environment, reduced risk profile, appropriate tech governance etc)

As the function evolves into day to day running this It core BAU responsibilities would be focused on:

• Handling end to end complex latest technology or end of life driven upgrades for products.
• Must Have: Application/system design, API integrations and development experience in Microsoft MVC and ASP.NET, Web APIs and .Net Core.
• Knowledge of Cloud technologies. Can deploy AWS/Azure infrastructure using Terraform.

               Knowledge of below AWS services are preferred:

• Multi-AZ RDS
• ECS (Elastic Container Services)
• IAM
• AWS API Gateway
• Lambda functions
• Dynamo DB
• Virtual Private Gateway

• Can create infrastructure as code, stored in version control to build AWS cloud infrastructure
• Understands concepts of how J2EE applications run within the AWS platform.
• Knowledge of Java related technologies (Not a must have)
• Understands how to build resilient systems across multiple Availability Zones
• Experience working in a regulated environment with strong compliance controls
• Experience with integrating systems to Apigee, CA Layer 7 API Gateway or similar.
• Knowledge of business process management (BPM) architecture and tools.
• Exposure in implementation of tooling (orchestration, automation, robotics etc) based on business outcomes & requirements.
• Implementing, supporting, build out, lifecycle management.

• Working with process and business practitioners to ensure relevant of tool set is consistently aligned with technology requirements & business outcomes

The role is required to engage directly with new strategic initiatives as well as maintain contact and on-going support to “in-flight” project/ programme engagements & BAU . This role can be flexible with regards to working times and working from home/office

Your skills and experience:

• Great technical skills in handling complex technical upgrades (internal and 3rd party applications including Cloud hosted applications).
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build a global team that is customer and business focused
• Understanding of the orchestration & automation landscape including some of the following:
• Must have hands-on design/development experience in .Net, MVC, .Net core, Web API’s, AWS/Azure Cloud, Terraform, AWS services (ECS, AWS Services, Lambda functions etc).
• Must understand approaches to API integration.
• Desired but not must have: Automation platforms/ Robotics (RPA)
• Desirable but not must have: Experience with installing and managing Camunda 7 platform, preferably on a cloud platform
• Knowledge of Java related technologies.
• Ability to work within a constantly evolving landscape whilst continuing to deliver services & solutions to the business
• A passion for requirements led design with a drive to automate and “keep solutions simple”
• Ability to drive a team that can complete design activities and steer programmes of work that enable O&A capabilities across the business
• Understanding of security solutions, IT compliance and risk management.
• Working knowledge of formal architecture models, specifically in the context of security (TOGAF qualified an advantage)
• Working knowledge and experience with agile way of working, GIT and DevSecOps operation practice.
• Ability to work as part of a global team, lead a team, to take the initiative, balance workload and prioritise accordingly
• Influencing skills and ability to bring together diverse stakeholders and attain buy in and traction to the implementation of solutions based on customer & business outcomes
