Role Summary


As HW integration Engineer you will join the Radio Unit team and will be responsible for high-end OpenRAN 5G and 4G RRU and mMIMO radio HW Integration, bring up and verification.

Key Responsibilities


  • Design and develop power amplifiers for 4G/5G radio products, emphasizing linearity, efficiency, and thermal performance.
  • Participate in the full life cycle of radio product development.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and RF simulations for system optimization.
  • Coordinate design reviews to meet requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of PA front end design.
  • Test and validate power amplifiers, addressing development issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for front-end design.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to transition PA designs into production.
  • Stay updated on industry trends in Telecom and RF power amplifiers.
  • Develop/maintain supplier relationships.

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related fields with 10+ years industry experience.
  • Having patents and publications on Power Amplifier design is a plus.
  • Expertise in RF fundamentals, impedance matching, Smith charts, passive RLC, filter designs, linearity, harmonics, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of RF and microwave circuit design, including PA architectures and topologies.
  • Proven industrial experience in RF power amplifier design, focusing on 4G/5G technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge on GaN and LDMOS technologies.
  • Expertise on High-efficiency power amplifier architectures, linearization, efficiency enhancement techniques.
  • Experience with Doherty amplifier design, DPD, CFR, and radio systems architectures.
  • Envelope-tracking power supply, linear switching converter, multi-level/phase switching converter, switching power supply.
  • Knowledge of low noise, high-efficiency, high linearity design techniques for 4G/5G RF front-end modules.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., ADS, AWR) for RF power amplifiers and LNA.
  • Experience with testing and characterization of RF power amplifiers.
  • Experience with PCB layout and design considerations for RF power amplifiers.
  • Understanding of Thermal requirements and Thermal estimation knowledge for application specific high power design.
  • Familiar with analog circuit design principles and basic EM theory
  • Familiarity with RF test equipment and measurements (Noise Meters, VNA, Spectrum Analyser).
  • Should be able to work in a team and possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
