Job Description

Summary of Position:


ServiceNow Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the technical specification design, development, review, and implementation of technical solutions leveraging ServiceNow out of box solutions as well as ServiceNow platform/app engine technology frameworks. This individual will collaborate closely with business analysts, product owners, project managers, testers, and developers on the day-to-day activities of understand business requirements, developing technical specifications, carrying out code review and leading show-back sessions.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Technical Solution Design: Understand business requirements, convert to technical specifications leveraging ServiceNow app engine features like flow designer, business rule, script include client script, UI Builder, etc. as appropriate considering the requirements and as well as the out of the box functionality.
  • Integration Design and Development: Design technical integration using the appropriate integration methodologies like ServiceNow Integration Hub, other supported methodologies like REST API, JDBC, Web Services as appropriate for the integration use cases. Design the integration testing and anchor the integration testing to ensure proper implementation of the integration use cases.
  • Code and Configuration Review: Establish coding and configuration best practices and carrying out the code/configurations developed by the developers in the team.
  • Automated Testing Framework Maintenance: Establish the Automated test framework (ATF) and maintain the same for end-to-end use cases for regression testing. Develop and maintain ATF for integration use cases.
  • Promote the usage of NOW Assist for Developers: Design and implement best practices around command to code features of NOW Assist. Promote the usage the usage of the NOW Assist for Developers, monitor the development productivity improvement.
  • Harvest and Evangelize Technical Best Practices and Latest Platform features– Participate in ServiceNow community, compile, and curate best practices from across different forums, evangelize within the team for improved quality and productivity. Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow platform features and promote the adoption of the latest features with the team.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or combination of education & experience required.
  • Experience:
    • 7+ years of developer experience in ServiceNow platform, with experience in different ServiceNow applications like ITSM, SPM, HRSD, IRM, Custom Application, ITOM.
    • 3+ years of experience as a lead developer, with a track record of successfully leading a team of 7-10 developers.
    • Experience in leading technical solution design and implementation of ServiceNow as part of enterprise digital transformation involving integration with various other enterprise systems and tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on driving business value through technology solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders on a day-to-day roles and responsibility standpoint.
    • Experience working in a cross cultural, global team environment is required.
    • Experience working in globally distributed scrum team following Agile best practices.
    • ServiceNow CAD (Certified Application Developer) certification is preferred.
    • ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification with multiple other ServiceNow product implementation specialist certification is preferred.
    • Understanding of the medical device and/or contact lens industry, working in validated environment covering CSA+, GxP and SOX relevant processes is an advantage.
