Job Title: Shift Engineer Electrical

Job Summary:
As a Shift Engineer Elect, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a wide range of electrical equipment and systems, including chillers, compressors, cooling towers, Air Handling Units (AHU), air conditioning (AC) systems, High-Speed Diesel (HSD) systems, cranes, fans, pumps, motors, Low Tension/High Tension (LT/HT) Diesel Generators (DG), substations, switch yards, Power Distribution Boards (PDB), and Breakers. Holding a 'C' class Elect License, you will ensure all operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of electrical systems including chillers, compressors, and cooling towers.
- Troubleshoot and repair faults in AHU, AC systems, and HSD systems.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of cranes, fans, pumps, and motors to ensure they are functioning optimally.
- Manage the maintenance of LT/HT DG, substations, switch yards, PDB, and Breakers.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Ensure all electrical work is performed by appropriately licensed and qualified personnel.
Team Coordination and Management:
- Direct and supervise a team of technicians and electricians during shifts.
- Provide training and support to team members to develop their skills and knowledge in electrical maintenance.
Emergency Response and Problem-Solving:
- Act swiftly to address and resolve electrical emergencies or unexpected breakdowns.
- Implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of all electrical systems.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit reports on electrical issues and the status of equipment.
RequirementsEssential Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Valid 'C' class Elect License.
- Proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, specifically with the systems and equipment listed.
