We are currently seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in India.You will work with the broader engineering and product teams to provide functionality necessary for the success of our customers. We deal with problems ranging from offloading data from external systems in the most efficient manner, to evaluating and selecting the best infrastructure platforms to build distributed systems for large-scale pipeline execution. You will report to one of our Engineering Managers and help mentor the junior members of the team.
Essential Functions
Work directly with the product team to gather feature requirements and implement new functionality
Engage with our community of users to grow the understanding and adoption of the StreamSetsplatform
Solve engineering problems and improve engineering efficiency through automation and tooling
Minimum Requirements
Passionate about writing code and seeing it used in production
Linux, Java, Python, Git, Docker, Jenkins, code reviews, Jira
Modeling, Distributed systems, designing, coding, testing automation, scripting, packaging
Nice to Haves
A degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
7+ years of practical experience as a software engineer
Prior experience with cloud, big data technologies
