As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in the authorize.net team, you will provide hands-on technical leadership to execute this mission.
You will lead a diverse team of world-class engineers - defining, executing and delivering functional and non-functional features at scale quickly. You will promote a culture of cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence, across geographies.
You will spearhead development and execution that aligns with business objectives and set industry standards.
You will partner with remote teams to ensure alignment across product development.
You will hire, retain and grow a high-performing team of software engineers, and invest in their career development.
This position is based in Bangalore.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
-13+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3+ years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Breadth of technology experience including Java 8, react, RDMS and noSQL.
- Proven track record in a similar leadership role, ideally within a large, forward-thinking organization like Visa. Experience in delivering highly scalable and available production systems. The breadth of technology exposure in this role means you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact.
- Solid experience in Agile methodologies. We are a fast-paced and dynamic organization. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in an Agile environment is crucial.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and bring out the best in a diverse, top-tier team.
