Job Family Definition:


Directs, manages, leads, and coordinates the integration of existing and/or new Information Technology solutions according to requirements of one or more functions, businesses, geographies, and/or IT transformational activities. Areas of responsibility may include business and technical systems design, acquisition and/or development, implementation, and support; infrastructure design, acquisition, implementation, operation, and maintenance; client services support. Establishes functional business plans and technical project/program objectives to meet the short- and long-term goals and metrics of the organization, including internal/external partners required to utilize alternative resourcing plans. Understands, articulates, and optimizes application and process capabilities for use by multiple/all business and IT constituents; drives architectural standards and simplification. Ensures the design, development, delivery and supportability of services/solutions for businesses are in accordance with business and IT objectives.


Management Level Definition:


Applies expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages activities of exempt individual contributors (typically Expert/Master) and/or MG1s. Has accountability for a large multi-department area(s) or location(s) with significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy. Acts as a key advisor to senior management on the development of overall policies and long-term goals of the organization. Plans, manages, and monitors high-end operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' primary focus is on either high-end tactical or broad strategic issues or a combination of both. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Position typically reports to Director or above. 
Additional Guidance/Criteria: Manages and controls activities within a sub-region or Region; Typically manages 10 or more direct reports.  Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.


What you’ll do:


Responsibilities:


  • As a Senior Engineering Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading and guiding the software development team responsible for The Odessa Platform, our equipment leasing software. Leveraging your extensive background in software implementation, you will collaborate closely with business subject matter experts and work in tandem with a cross-functional team including Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, Project Managers, and external vendors.

  • Provide strategic vision and leadership for the software development team.
  • Drive the development and implementation of high-level standards to ensure the delivery of top-notch software solutions.
  • Technical Expertise:


  • Analyze and guide the development of complex modules in alignment with business and functional requirements.
  • Offer support to remote colleagues during design, development, and testing phases.
  • Oversee design reviews, technical queries, and provide expert technical support.
  • Collaboration and Communication:


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, refine, and document requirements.
  • Actively participate in planning, code reviews, and contribute to the overall improvement of development processes.
  • Team Development:


  • Mentor and guide team members in adopting best practices and adhering to high-quality software development standards.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment, encouraging continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Applies technical thought leadership in service of delivering enterprise-wide technology solutions.
  • Oversee project execution, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget with quality outcomes.
  • Accountable to the business and IT leadership for successful service delivery.
  • Prioritize and manage development and implementation of enhancements and/or change requests by fostering collaboration with the business.

What you need to bring:


Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related major.


15+ years of experience in both back-end and front-end web development using the Microsoft Technology Stack with .Net/C#, HTML, SQL.


Extensive experience with ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, LINQ, Message Queue, WCF, API (Rest/JSON), and building Reusable Libraries.


Proficiency in SQL Server development, including creating and modifying stored procedures, SQL data scripts, and data conversion.


Solid understanding and experience with Object-Oriented design and development.


Proven experience working with Agile methodologies using tools like JIRA.


Proficient in debugging code and conducting thorough testing.


Familiarity with Azure environments, including APIM, Azure Service Bus, App Service Environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


Experience with Leasing, ERP, or similar software in the Equipment Leasing and/or Asset Finance industries.


Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and deadlines.


Proven ability to be a self-starter and work on projects with minimal management oversight.


Demonstrated experience in UI mock-ups, User-Acceptance testing scenarios, and achieving final application sign-off.


Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish collaborative working relationships with remote team members across different regions.
