Amazon’s Global Central Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering (RME) organization is hiring a Technical Infrastructure Program Manager focused on Building Management Systems (BMS), Solar infrastructure, and Energy Management Programs. This individual will initiate and manage multiple programs and projects using effective time management skills and personal impact to drive complex activities across the organization. The Technical Infrastructure Program Manager supports all Amazon fulfillment business units and site types across India. This role will drive continuous improvement of the BMS, ensure the health and performance of the Solar infrastructure, conduct energy audits, and implement energy conservation retrofits.
This role requires a dynamic individual who can independently manage complex technical programs, lead cross-functional teams, and drive our commitment to sustainability and energy reduction measures. Teamwork is an absolute must to accomplish our goals. You must be able to work within a team while depending on and driving others to accomplish goals for our customers.
The successful candidate will possess BMS, IT, and Solar expertise coupled with a background in utilizing IPMVP style Measurement and Verification calculations and reporting.
Key job responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans for the implementation and optimization of BMS, Solar Infrastructure, and Energy Management Programs.
- Work independently to successfully deliver program goals, seeking guidance as needed and making connections to the right people or technologies as required.
- Collaborate with sustainability teams and drive the integration of new technologies and best practices into existing infrastructure systems.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to BMS, solar infrastructure, and energy management to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present regular progress reports, and status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of BMS, solar infrastructure, and energy management programs, monitoring performance regularly and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Actively participate in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptime.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing BMS, solar infrastructure, and energy management systems to ensure organizational compliance.
- Participate in/lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions.
- Travel up to 60%

- Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or relevant technical discipline
- Operations and reliability maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial warehouse or commercial building environment.
- Experience in managing multiple programs / projects, using effective time management skills and personal impact to drive complex activities across the organization.
- Certified Energy Manager, or similar background utilizing IPMVP style Measurement and Verification calculations and reporting.
- Experience with establishing and leading corporate energy management programs.
- Familiarity with energy storage technologies and their integration with solar PV systems to provide grid stability, load shifting, and backup power capabilities.
- Experience implementing quality assurance measures to ensure the reliability, durability, and safety of solar infrastructure, including inspections, testing, and documentation procedures.
- Proficiency in monitoring the performance of solar PV systems, analyzing energy production data, and identifying opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to building automation, solar energy, and energy management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A Master's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, or a related field
- Six Sigma/Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
- LEED accreditation
- High capability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, frequent changes in priorities, and changes in the business environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques for evaluating project performance, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions to optimize project efficiency and ROI.
- Proven track record in developing and executing strategic plans, aligning project objectives with organizational goals and industry trends.
