Position Description:



The purpose of the Manager role is to provide technical leadership, people leadership and strategic direction to team members within the Global Learning Content Development team at LCCI. 



The GLCS team consists of a dedicated group of learning professionals responsible for enhancing the learning experiences for Lilly learners globally. This team partners with learning professionals globally to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning content.  This position reports to the Associate Director of LCCI Global Learning Content Services and oversees a team of project managers and training administrative roles.



The GLCS Operations position provides operational support to GLCS team. The Operations Team Leader position is a key role that provides critical business data, helps drive process efficiencies, and monitors the organization's capacity and budget. This position is responsible for the ownership and coordination of critical processes within GLCS. This role interacts with a wide variety of individuals both in LCCI and the US, at varying organizational levels of the business. We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Operations professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling resource capacity, managing content demand forecast, and employing their strong knowledge of tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft SharePoint to drive operational excellence within the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and exceptional decision-making skills based on data-driven insights. They will also be adept at analyzing and implementing possible solutions to address a variety of day-to-day operational challenges. Additionally, proficiency in automating processes within Smartsheet and SharePoint is a key requirement for this role.



This role will also manage a team of Project Managers and key content and training administrative roleswithin GLCS.



Leadership/Supervision:



  • Leads a team of project managers and training administrative support roles.


  • Responsible for employee lifecycle management (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, career development, annual compensation reviews) 


  • Embraces Lilly’s culture, organizational structure, roles, and practices, including strong knowledge of how team fits into bigger picture of the US Affiliate as well as the broader Lilly organization. 


  • Knows and reinforces Lilly’s learning strategy, design and development processes, content development tools and resources. 


  • Thinks as a “partner” in the business and ensures that team delivers on expectations (on time, high quality, business value, risk mitigation, cost optimization and return on investment). 


  • Partners to ensure capacity and workload management can meet business demands. 


  • Enhances the capabilities of the team through effective recruiting, training, coaching and development. 


  • Demonstrates knowledge of systems, software, tools, and supervisor resources. 




  • Exhibits knowledge of healthcare environment and regulated industry practices. 


  • Has a thorough understanding of Lilly's Quality processes and must be capable of understanding and applying these processes and requirements when executing their role. 


  • Support evaluation of new technologies, techniques, and tools. 



Responsibilities:



  • Manage resource capacity within the GLCS Team to ensure optimal allocation and utilization of resources.


  • Develop and maintain content demand forecasts to effectively plan and prioritize content development efforts.


  • Utilize advanced knowledge of tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft SharePoint to streamline operational processes and enhance team productivity.


  • Make data-driven decisions to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.


  • Analyze and propose solutions to address a wide range of operational challenges encountered in day-to-day activities.


  • Automate and optimize processes within Smartsheet and SharePoint to improve workflow efficiency and accuracy.


  • Utilize advanced Excel proficiency to analyze data, create reports, and develop complex models to support decision-making.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.


  • 8-10 years of proven experience in project and/or operations management within the eLearning domain or similar environments.


  • Strong proficiency in tools such as Smartsheet and Microsoft SharePoint, with a demonstrated ability to leverage these tools to drive operational improvements.


  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions based on data and insights.


  • Proficiency in automation and process improvement within Smartsheet and SharePoint.


  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including the ability to analyse data, create reports, and develop complex models to support decision-making.


  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.




  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and adapt to evolving business needs.


  • Performs tasks with high attention to detail.


  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple work requirements simultaneously.



Education Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, communication, learning and development or a related field.  


  • PMP Certification is preferred. 



Language Requirements:



  • Written and verbal English proficiency.
