Software Engineer / Middleware Developer

As a Senior Software Engineer / TIBCO Developer at Aspire, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing APIs in alignment with the guidelines established by our API Governance team. Your technical expertise will be crucial in serving as the technical owner, responsible for approving services and code developed by fellow team members.

What you’ll do

• Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of APIs in accordance with the guidelines established by the API Governance team.
• Will serve as the technical owner responsible for signing off on services/code developed by other developers.
• Define development best practices and guidelines.
• Mentor the team in the implementation of various API Lifecycle management policies, such as traffic management and version management.
• Define the standards for creating static documentation/specifications for all the APIs hosted on the developer portal.
• Participate in sprint planning sessions/estimations with scrum teams.
• Actively involved in feasibility studies of new requirements using TIBCO suite of products.
• Play an active role in impact analysis of changes.
• Define and implement non-functional requirements during development sprints.
• Provide input for the definition of readiness from a middleware perspective.
• Define the acceptance criteria for the production team.
• Assist production teams in improving the monitoring of production services.
• Define standard deployment checklists and other templates.
• Communicate project updates effectively back to the COE (Center of Excellence).
• Play an active role in setup, configuration, building automation tasks, and assist in the creation of CI/CD pipelines.
• Proactively and appropriately communicate challenges or risks.
• Work as part of an Agile Team, including Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and peer developers, to create technical solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Lead reviews of colleagues' work.

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science (software/application) or equivalent.
  
• Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
  
• Expertise in TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x and 6.x versions, including development, installation, and platform setup.
  
• Expertise in TIBCO Enterprise Messaging service.
  
• Expertise in the Google API Management platform (APIGEE Edge).
  
• Expert knowledge of setting up the Google API gateway in hybrid mode.
  
• Should be an expert in defining sandboxes using the Google API Management platform.
  
• Expert in defining different API policies on the API Gateway.
  
• Strong technical and functional knowledge in the financial/banking domain.
  
• Strong knowledge of APIs, Microservices, Swagger, SOA concepts, WSDL, schemas, RESTful JSON services, etc.
  
• Should have a good understanding of the software development life cycle using agile methodologies.
  
• Understanding of Jira, BitBucket, Swagger, and other CI-CD tools.
  
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, XML, REST, SOAP, Web Services, SOAP UI, and WSDL is a must.
  
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows operating systems.
  
• Knowledge of databases (Preferred: Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
