Job Summary:

A technical role with responsibility for the operation of the P5CTS Display and Debrief System based in Kuwait. The successful candidate will help to standup and deliver the Kuwait F18 P5CTS Ops and Maintenance Program.  The successful candidate will work at the Ahmad al-Jaber Air Base and report to the Site Manager who will be co-located.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist as required in the operation and maintenance of the display equipment.
• Perform duties of computer operations technician as required, which include the following:
  • Load programs for operation and test.
  • Perform subsystem test to assess operational readiness.
  • Load all pre-mission exercise data into the Data Recorder Device (DRD).
  • Maintain a control log of DRD issue to and receipt from aircrews.
  • Operate the graphics terminals during live exercises and assist with display and control operations.
  • Provide technical assistance to aircrews in setting up for replay/debriefing.
  • Maintain and store records of mission tapes.
  • Maintain a mission event log with specific, concise, and pertinent data entered under the following headings:  date, time, mission/event, remarks, and operator.
  • Interface directly with the aircrew regarding mission sortie effectiveness.
  • Perform additional operations duties as directed by the Site Supervisor.
• Assist as required with P5CTS operations and maintenance.
• Understand, acknowledge, and comply with the daily responsibilities for Security Classifications associated with this job, and must prove continued compliance with, responsibility for, and daily accountabilities for Classified Materials and Parts, as a primary and vital function of this position.

• In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.

Minimum Job Requirements:
 

Skills knowledge and experience:

Essential:

• Technical background in a similar role.
• Basic IT skills using MS Office and testing software.
• Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Ability to use electronic tools and testing equipment.
• Position requires the ability to lift 75lbs. Will entail bending, reaching and fitting into tight places to perform normal duties.

Desirable:

• Prior military experience would be beneficial.
• Prior experience working in a remote and/or foreign environment.

Education and qualifications

Essential:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent, plus proven relevant experience in an electronics-related industry.
• College qualification in a technical related field; or equivalent technical education and military experience.
• Must possess a driving license.
