Architect - Shop Drawings Specialist

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architect with expertise in shop drawings for heritage buildings to join our team. As an Architect - Shop Drawings Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in transforming all trade design documents into detailed and accurate construction drawings for heritage rehabilitation projects. In addition, you will be responsible for preparing project submittals, including material transmittals and method statements in adherence to established templates.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
2. Proven experience (5 years+) in creating shop drawings for project with a minimum of (2) heritage rehabilitation projects.
3. Expertise in heritage preservation standards and best practices.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
5. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and detailing specific to heritage buildings.
6. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Experience in preparing project submittals, including material transmittals and method statements.
9. Excellent English written and spoken.
