Within the Strategy & Governance team you will report directly to the Head of Strategy & Governance. Your mission as PMO CONFORMITY & REPORTING will be:
“Safeguarding the GDS team's financial integrity and regulatory compliance through diligent oversight, robust risk management, and transparent reporting practices”.
You will be responsible for key oversight activities encompassing
Monitoring,
Conformity,
Reporting, and
Analysis. This role is crucial in ensuring that our operations are running with efficiency, adhering to regulations, and aligning with GDS and House strategic objectives.
As the Operations & Finance Manager, you will leverage your keen analytical skills and familiarity with project management to ensure the optimal execution and alignment of our initiatives with business goals and compliance requirements. Your exceptional ability to communicate and interpret complex information will be integral to this role.
Your main missions will be focus on:
Co-build, develop and manage budgets for all project segments. Conduct regular financial reviews, make necessary adjustments and arbitrate financial decisions as needed. Oversee and track activities, roadmap implementation, budget adherence, and various other metrics to ensure smooth operations and attainment of objectives. Act as the primary entry point for finance and controlling teams. Ensure internal compliance and alignment with regulations. Stay updated with evolving industry regulations and standards and ensure all PMO activities adhere to these. Regularly generate, maintain, and improve reports that accurately reflect our project statuses and performances. Utilize appropriate reporting tools to deliver insights to various stakeholders. Prepare detailed analysis and special reports on demand. Monitor and analyse project quality and performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Your competencies:
Brand Understanding: Ability to comprehend and operate the essence of our CHANEL’s brand - its mission, vision, legacy, and values - and align strategies and actions accordingly. This includes an understanding of the brand's history, its positioning in the market, and its unique selling proposition.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French. Ability to convey information effectively to various stakeholders, from team members to top executives.
Monitoring & Conformity: In direct line with Regulation services, you are strict on the application of industry regulations, project management, and conformity principles. You can keep track of multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring they adhere to internal standards and external regulations.
Reporting & Analysis: You have excellent reporting and data analysis skills, allowing you to interpret complex data and communicate it effectively. Proficiency with reporting tools and software is a must.
Budgeting and Financial Management: You understand financial management principles, allowing you to create and manage project budgets effectively. Ideally, you already managed a budget and performed analysis tailored to digital services.
Project Management: You have a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies, and the ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
