Assistant Registrar Records, Office of the Registrar

Aga Khan University’s Office of the Registrar in Pakistan is primarily responsible for student recruitment/outreach and admissions, maintaining the integrity of student academic records, maintenance of the University's database, convocation ceremonies, providing secretariat support to the academic committees and complying with the University’s academic quality assurance policies.


Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Associate Registrar, you will be responsible and custodian for all matters related to student records for the under graduate programmes in the School of Nursing and Midwifery; including managing student registration with PNC.


You will be responsible for:


  • managing each student’s academic data online in Student System including term activation, class enrolments, service indicators, score entries, etc.
  • leading and managing results and transcripts of onboard students and graduates of relevant programmes
  • providing secretarial support to the Assessment and Progression Committee, SONAM on taking notes of the meeting and recording the action points or matters arising from the previous minutes and follow up with students
  • managing on-board student scholarship process
  • preparing various reports related to results and academic awards
  • processing different ongoing verification requests received from onboard students and graduates
  • managing files for students and graduates
  • managing pre-enrolment registration of the newly admitted students and alumni of the University.
  • compiling data of newly admitted students of the relevant programmes, including managing student files received from the Admission’s Office
  • generating student information reports in consultation with the supervisor, as and when needed
  • leading and assisting in graduation and convocation related work
  • provide support in reviewing programme and university policies and procedures.

Requirements:


You should have:


  • a Master’s degree with management background
  • at least 5-6 years’ experience of working directly with young people preferably in an academic setting
  • experience of working in environments where there are tight time schedules
  • strong interpersonal skills and language competency [both written and verbal] 
  • ability to handle multiple tasks and perform work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel
  • knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
