About Us:


Markaz is on the mission to supercharge the rails of e-commerce for the common man in Pakistan. We want to empower the Pakistani middle class, with a special focus on women who are currently not part of the Pakistani financial ecosystem, and help establish hundreds of thousands of new online entrepreneurs in the coming years. We enable anyone in Pakistan to start their online business with zero investment from the comfort of their home and make money by selling products through different social media channels like WhatsApp and Facebook. All they have to do is download the Markaz app, get access to 1,000s of products, share them on their social media with a profit margin and get orders. Markaz will take care of everything else: delivery, payments, customer experience and profit dissemination.

About the Role:


As a Category Growth Associate, you will assist in all tasks related to category growth and discounted campaigns. The work will include coordinating with teams for supplier discounting, marketing initiatives, onsite category growth, & deciding the action items that need to be taken to meet our Objective Key Results. If you have a passion for learning and a strong drive to achieve, we would like to hear from you.


 Responsibilities:


  • Plan and manage the campaign process, and alignments with all stakeholders
  •  Prepare comprehensive reports based on analyzed data, highlighting actionable items for different teams within the organization.
  •  Manage the homepage of our application, ensuring the selection of appropriate products based on multiple factors, such as popularity, customer feedback, and sales performance.
  • Work closely with the product team to improve discovery and ensure optimal usage of the application for driving GMV
  •  Perform A/B testing to better understand user behavior, to provide insights and make informed decisions.
  •  Stay updated with industry trends, market dynamics, and customer preferences to contribute to the continuous improvement of the application's product offerings.

Skills Needed:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, computer science, engineering or a related field
  • Preferable 1+ years’ experience in category or growth roles
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to use data to solve problems
  • High level of independence, self-confidence and responsibility
  • Experience working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Able to work cohesively, detail-oriented, organized with the ability to multitask
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams
