About the job Regulatory Specialist

Finance Head - Karachi


Company Overview:


Hiring for only Pakistani company to have become a viable multi telco payment aggregator with agreements and integrations ongoing with all 4 largest operators and all the major e-wallets asd well as cards, covering 100% market share of the total cell phone market in Pakistan. Their solution allows integration of over 100m subscribers to make payments online without requiring a bank account, credit card or having to go to carrier specific mobile wallets.


Responsibilities:


  • Proactively learn and stay abreast of applicable regulations across all operating markets.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into actionable strategies for the organization.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with relevant government and regulatory bodies.
  • Advocate for the organization's interests and contribute to the development of favorable policies.
  • Engage in strategic discussions with government officials to influence regulatory decisions.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure continuous adherence to current and forthcoming regulations.
  • Streamline and monitor processes and procedures related to key risk areas in liaison with Legal and Compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor compliance measures.
  • Conduct regular INTERNAL AUDIT and assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and propose corrective actions.
  • Compile all accounting practice and recording at software and assist in budgeting and cash flow activities and responsible for all reporting financial affairs.
  • Assist the CEO in driving policy papers, particularly in collaboration with central banks.
  • Provide comprehensive support in drafting, editing, and presenting policy papers to key stakeholders.
  • Conduct thorough research on industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and economic factors ensure informed policy development.

Qualifications:


  • Educational Qualification CA Module D + MBA
  • Maximum 5 years of experience after article ship at Firm in regulatory affairs, compliance, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of SBP Prudential Regulations, IAS.
  • Fin-Tech Ecommerce, IT banking, Phrama Industry preferable with good communication skill.
  • Experience in engaging with central banks and other regulatory legislative bodies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and levels within the organization.
  • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with regulatory bodies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex regulatory language into practical strategies.
