Auto Painter

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Auto Painter to join our dynamic team. The Auto Painter will be responsible for restoring the original paint job of vehicles or painting vehicles according to customer preferences or company requirements. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, precision, and aesthetics, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet or exceed industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Preparation:
   

   
   
   • Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, filling in dents and scratches, and ensuring surfaces are clean and ready for paint.
     
   • Mask areas that are not to be painted or coated.
     

2. Painting:
   

   
   
   • Mix and match paint to the vehicle's original color, or as per customer's preference, ensuring consistency and quality.
     
   • Apply primer and repaint vehicles using brushes or spray guns.
     
   • Apply additional coats as necessary, ensuring each layer is dry before applying the next.
     

3. Finishing:
   

   
   
   • Apply finishing touches, such as buffing, polishing, and waxing the vehicle's body.
     
   • Inspect the quality of the paint job, ensuring that it meets company standards and customer satisfaction.
     

4. Maintenance:
   

   
   
   • Maintain paint booth, spray guns, and other equipment, ensuring they are clean and functional.
     
   • Keep inventory of supplies, ordering new stock as required.
     

5. Compliance and Safety:
   

   
   
   • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous waste.
     
   • Follow safety procedures, using protective gear and ensuring the painting area is well-ventilated.
     

Essential Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in Auto Painting is highly preferred.
  
• Proven experience as an Auto Painter.
  
• In-depth knowledge of paint mixing, application techniques, and the latest industry equipment.
  

Skills Required:

• Excellent attention to detail and color perception.
  

• Proficiency in the use of paint tools and equipment.
  
• Strong understanding of paint specifications and material durability.
  
• Good time-management skills and the ability to work independently.
  
• Physical dexterity and stamina for long periods of standing and repetitive movements.
  

Specific Criteria or Requirements:

• Valid driver's license.
  
• Willingness to work in various weather and to accommodate flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  
• Familiarity with industry safety standards and a commitment to adhering to safety protocols.
