Overview

This position will be physically located in Qatar in support of LOGCAP.***


Under the supervision of the Project Supervisor. The Foreman will serve as the single point of contact for a large facility U.S. Government Operations and Maintenance support services for light construction projects located in Qatar. The duties and responsibilities listed are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.



Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage and schedule a team of workers, subcontractors, and equipment to meet project deadlines.
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution of construction plans.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and ensure work is progressing according to plan.

Qualifications
  • Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if degree is required.
  • • High School
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • • OSHA certification and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience:
  • • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with proven experience in a leadership role.
  • • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations.
  • • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • • OSHA certification and/or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • • DoD or DoS experience required
  • Skills & Technology Used:
  • Able to manage a small team of highly complex technical multi-occupations performing operations & maintenance, construction and repair of systems, equipment, devices, components at a federal government installation in a foreign country. Fluency in reading and interpreting plans, technical data, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language with proficiency.
  • Must exercise discretion and good sound judgment.
  • Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office and/or other related applications.
