Al Jazeera Media Network is offering a in Qatar as a Innovation & Standards Manager.

Duties & responsibilities

Collaborate with Editorial leadership and with fellow Innovations & Standards team members, develop and implement the agreed “vision” for studio and post-production operations. Implement the technical output of the newsroom/Edits/studio to meet the requirements of the News and Programmes Editorial teams. Work closely with Editorial leadership, Creative departments, Editors, and Studio Operations teams to determine and technically achieve the required look and format of the channel’s output. Liaise with the Technology teams to ensure all aspects of the production chain is working correctly. Ensure highest technical standards are achieved for the channels output. Work closely with News, Programmes and Creative teams to determine requirements are met. Facilitate problem-solving amongst team members and others, with strong collaborations and effective communication. Ensure that information flows bi‐directionally between Senior Management and production teams as well as within the Innovations & Standards team. Consult and support in maintaining the business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Bilingual - English & Arabic Have an understanding of the needs and requirements of all aspects of the business, is essential. This role requires excellent communication skills. Must have a strong command of news programming with extensive industry experience in a live news environment. Demonstrated experience in live news programmes or in pre/post-production is required.
