About the job PROCESS MECHANICAL ENGINEER
JOB DESCRIPTION:
In this role you will get to conduct and support the delivery of complete Process mechanical designs for sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Carrying out Concept, preliminary and detailed engineering works related to process engineering such as developing PFD, P&ID mass balance, process mechanical calculations such as blower sizing, screen sizing, grit classifiers and process pumps including datasheets.
- Carryout design of Odour control systems including bio filtration and activated carbon filtration as required.
- Carry out hydraulic calculations for sewage treatment plants and pumping stations.
- Coordinate and obtain the data from suppliers as necessary to complete the process mechanical design for preliminary, biological, and tertiary treatments for treatment plants.
- Carry out process mechanical design for treatment plants and pumping stations to PWA standards and quality as and when assigned by the senior engineer.
- Initiating and developing the concept and detailed designs for process mechanical designs
- Preparing and generating spread sheets to carry out calculations.
- Coordination with other Discipline Engineers as applicable.
- Coordinate with BIM/CAD Technicians concerning project requirements and timelines.
- Stay updated with relevant technical developments within the discipline.
- Understand the contract and scope of project deliverables.
- Ensure that Health & Safety is embedded into all work practices in line with company policies.
- Provide regular work status updates, including risks or concerns, to Senior engineer.
- Attend and contribute in team and project meetings as required.
- Complete accurate time sheets by set deadline.
- Take on additional duties as assigned by management.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualification.
- At least 7-10 years of overall experience.
- Extensive experience in design development.
- Proficiency in relevant software including, watergems and hydraulic modeling analysis etc.
- Must have thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extensive experience in Doha/Qatar is mandatory.
