Producer - The Stream

Our award-winning show, The Stream, stands at the forefront of current affairs discussions, providing fresh perspectives on issues that matter. As a Producer for The Stream, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our daily digital output across various platforms, ensuring accessibility, promotion, and engagement with our audience.
We are seeking a talented and innovative Producer to join The Stream team. In this role, you will be responsible for curating and enhancing our linear and digital presence, leveraging social media platforms and other tools to engage with our audience and promote our content. Your creative storytelling abilities and commitment to continuous innovation will contribute to the success of our show on TV and in the digital space.
Responsibilities:

• Manage daily output across multiple platforms, emphasising accessibility, promotion, and engagement.
• Utilise social media platforms and content management systems to source stories and enhance audience interaction.
• Drive continuous innovation in storytelling and community engagement strategies.
• Stay informed about the latest technological developments and incorporate new tools and techniques into our workflow.
• Collaborate with presenters and producers to create compelling content and engage with the community.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a producer/content creator, with a focus on international news.
• Proficiency in social media tools and platforms, with a deep understanding of their editorial potential.
• Established social media presence and experience in verifying social media sources and adhering to web copyright standards.
• Graphics editing skills and basic knowledge of HTML and content management systems are desirable.
• Familiarity with iNEWS workflow is advantageous.
• Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
