About the job Senior Specialist - Subsea & Diving Project

Roles & Responsibilities:



Responsible for the successful execution of the assigned project package by coordinating all the disciplines involved such as engineering, procurement, inspection, testing, transport, etc., in accordance with our clients QHSES corporate policies, contractual commitments (design data, codes, classes etc.), schedule and budget.


Main duties include:


  • Ownership and responsibility for multiple projects, managing and delegation of tasks. Reporting progress to Project Managers;
  • Planning and presentation of design solutions at formal Design Reviews internally and also at customer meetings;
  • Prepare / write / review method statement, procedures, schedules and planning for the various aspects of the project plan, including document control compliance;
  • Liaise with E&C Dept personnel to ensure project documentation is drafted, reviewed and issued per project requirements;
  • Determine timeframe for individual phases of the SOW, and formulate strategies based upon knowledge and experience.
  • Prepare Project Plan from mobilisation to demobilisation, and all points in between;
  • Review equipment specifications for in-house and hired equipment, converse with suppliers to ensure plant and equipment availability, timely delivery. Monitor pricing and cost;
  • Follow-up on pre-inspection and third party quality certification of the project support vessels, lifting equipment in order to provide the necessary safety information.
  • Monitor mobilization of personnel and equipment while liaising with workshop personnel to ensure all areas of mobilization are followed up and completed as per mobilization plan;
  • Attend project client meetings / briefings and prepare draft and final reports for ABS, DNVGL, BV inspections, Clients construction projects and small diving / ROV / survey / inspection projects; Review project report / brief and comment accordingly;
  • Ensure safe operations while minimizing our impact on the environment by means of complying with occupational QHSE standards.
  • Ensure all areas of Tender documentation have been reviewed, and be particularly mindful of innocuous areas that could cause problems during execution;
  • Prepare / write / review tender method statements and tender schedules to support the tender team;
  • Liaise with third party suppliers and other vendors to identify and source equipment and resources to support technical execution of the tender;
  • Oversee the compilation of both technical and commercial sections of the tender while directing the cost controller.
  • Ensure in-house specifications for vessel and QHSE requirement meet the tender / contract specification;
  • Ensure Tender Submission has all required and relevant technical, QHSE and commercial documentation duly and timely completed.
  • Assist in reviewing and ensuring effective maintenance, and utilization of operation reports in order to effectively manage future projects, operations, medical examinations, and training courses taken, as relevant;
  • Help maintain a library of equipment certification, including lifting and rigging equipment, in order to ensure that all equipment are being used and maintained appropriately;
  • Ensure effective maintenance of own and others occupational health and safety and that all relevant policies and measures are followed at all times;
  • Ensure that Diving, ROV and Survey equipment and devices are maintained and used in compliance with their highest safety regulations and standards;
  • Assist with the Validation of prospective personnel CVs to ensure personnel are properly qualified (including medical and clients specifics) and that all personnel requirements are covered;
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree and 5-years experience or 12-years basic education and 10-years experience with relevant industry and vocational qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in tender management, project execution, and operational oversight, both offshore and onshore.
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen, with proven track record in tender/project management
  • 3 years of which in a managerial role
  • Projects and Operations management/supervision experience
  • GCC/Middle East Experience a plus
  • High level of competence with Microsoft Office suite, including MS Project (Primavera P6 a plus)

Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:


  • High degree of understanding of diving operations (air and saturation), and how they are used to enhance project scheduling
  • High degree of understanding of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV) and Survey operations
  • Knowledge of ISO code and other quality management skills, including but not limited to full understanding of International Marine Contractors Association (IMCA) and International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP) guidance
