Please note that this is a Generic Talent Pool Vacancy and an expression of interest for both the Al Udeid and Dukhan airbase sites so you must be able to work in either location which will be communicated once a position is available. Located on Al Udeid Airbase in Doha, the Qatar
Technical Institute provides internationally recognized training programs to
the Qatar Armed Forces, consisting of Foundation Training, General Engineering
and Specialty Type Training. Supporting Qatar vision 2030, this ensures
personnel are equipped with appropriate skills and knowledge for a career in
the Armed Forces. The Senior Project Professionalrole is focused on both Project Management & Project Control,
including the operational day-to-day running of the Technical Institute,
through to the mobilization of the long-term Technical Institute solution. Working
in a co-located environment closely alongside the QAF customer, the role
necessitates professionalism and maturity from the outset and is an excellent
opportunity to obtain hands-on experience in both a customer facing and
training environment.
At Dukhan airbase, the role is responsible for
establishing and discharging the Project Control System activities across the
Qatar In-Service Typhoon Availability Service Operation. Providing analysis & challenge,
critical review, guidance, & recommendations to line management. Establishing, applying, and improving, Project
Control best practice procedures, methods and systems, ensuring their
appropriate application. You will also be required to gather, synthesize & integrate
information relating to performance (cost, resources and outputs), monitor and
report progress against plans, identify trends, analyse and interpret data and
information to ensure all data and information is accurate, generate and
publish regular reports, including contract review packs, to senior managers,
across a range of work packages. The
role will also responsible for Resource Management activities associated with
the Qatar Typhoon Availability Service. Supporting the generation and review of
the Internal
Business Plan (IBP) in
balancing resource demand/allocation across the contract and bids.RequirementsFunctional Knowledge & Experience:
- Experienced and in-depth Project
Control knowledge and techniques in an Operational Aircraft Support environment
is preferred;
- Experienced resource demand
management and forecasting;
- High level of MS Office knowledge
and application;
- Programme Reporting experience;
- Understanding and appreciation of
operating in a customer-focused organisation in the Middle East;
- Commercial and Contractual
Awareness;
- Purchasing Process and Export
control awareness
- Contract Status
Reporting (CSRs).
Business Expertise:- Requires good
analytical skills, able to manipulate data to identify trends and data
shortages. At this level is able to assess if data is complete and accurate.
- Requires the
ability to appropriately engage with and challenge a wide range of stakeholders
on project performance & data validity
- Understands and is
able to use and interpret all project management tools sets.
- Requires a good
understanding of the structure of costs and performance for the service area or
project, is able to monitor progress using BAES systems and methods of control
and reporting
- Capable of performing
detailed performance analysis using a range of PM toolsets and techniques

Qualifications:
