Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and Contracts Administrator with a minimum of 10 years of expertise in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) projects. The successful candidate, with an engineering background, will play a crucial role in administering contracts, ensuring compliance, and managing contractual aspects of diverse projects.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Interpret contract terms and conditions to mitigate risks and optimize project outcomes.
- Collaborate with legal and project management teams to develop comprehensive contract documents.
- Ensure contracts align with project objectives and client expectations.
- Participate in contract negotiations, addressing contractual issues and ensuring favorable terms.
- Collaborate with project teams to achieve a balance between client expectations and project requirements.
- Administer and process change orders, variations, and amendments to contracts.
- Evaluate the impact of changes on project timelines and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of claims, ensuring adherence to contractual procedures.
- Work with legal teams to resolve disputes and claims in a timely manner.
- Monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Conduct regular audits to verify adherence to project specifications.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive document control system for all contractual documents.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date record-keeping for contractual correspondence.
- Act as a point of contact for clients regarding contractual matters.
- Provide timely responses to client inquiries and concerns.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in contract administration.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and evolving contractual trends.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator in PMC projects.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic (both written and spoken).
- Strong knowledge of contract administration principles and practices.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Familiarity with legal aspects of construction contracts.
- Professional certifications in contract management or related fields.
- Experience in PMC projects within the Middle East region.
