As the COO/Co-founder of our Fan Engagement platform, you will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and scaling our rapidly growing venture. You will work closely with the CEO to implement the company’s vision and strategy, focusing on operationalizing and streamlining business processes. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our venture operates efficiently and effectively, delivering an exceptional fan experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement business strategies
• Oversee daily operations of the company, including content strategy, product development, marketing, sales, business development, HR, and customer service
• Act as the Chief Content Officer for the first few months, by developing and implementing the venture’s content strategy, focusing on producing and acquiring diverse and engaging content
• Work closely with Saudi football clubs and other stakeholders to maintain strong partnerships
• Lead the execution of strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with the company’s goals and objectives
• Manage and optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitor performance against operational targets and KPIs, making adjustments as necessary
• Manage budgets and forecasts ensuring financial sustainability
• Identify and mitigate operational risks by implementing robust risk management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, safeguarding the startup from legal and regulatory challenges.
• Implement best practices and scalable systems to support the growth of the startup while maintaining a focus on operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration within the team
• Play a key role in team development, talent acquisition, and building a high-performing team

About You:

• Significant experience in operational leadership and strategic thinking 
• The ability to adapt to a innovated and fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling operational processes in dynamic environments
• Strong understanding of the sports industry, particularly football, including market dynamics and fan engagement 
• Proven track record in scaling operations in a startup environment
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to effectively collaborate with a diverse team and drive results whilst inspiring and motivating the teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on approach to business challenges
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Arabic is a must

Nice to have

• Previous experience in the KSA football industry 
• Currently based in the GCC - ideally Saudi Arabia
